Skilift Harness system

The ski lift harness system is an efficient and essential part of seamlessly latching on or off the ski lift.

Regardless of the seating of the ski lift (“disc” or “T bar”), the hanging harness is made to follow the center of gravity of the skier and prevent back or front tipping.

The ski lift harness is made of several parts to ensure optimum safety :

  • Cold resistant elastic ring made of polymer enables the ski lift harness system to be quickly attached to the pole.
  • A slipknot system ensures a firm grip of the ring on the pole.

The double safety mechanism is made up of two independent ropes that are held in each one of the skier’s hands. Each rope operates the opening of a karabiner :

  • The release rope enables the immediate opening of the ring to release the pole by a simple traction.

  • The safety rope instantly separates the ski lift harness from the ski lift in case of a malfunction of the karabiner or the lost of the first rope.
