How long does it take to learn skiing with a Uniski or Dualski?
Learning with Uniski is similar as with Dualski on condition that the correct technique is used. That’s why it is so important to learn with a competent person. We can compare seated skiing learning with standing skiing learning, the learning time is similar. Some will learn faster than others (those who have already practiced standing skiing for example) but in average, at the end of the first week, it’s possible to ski independently on blue or green tracks.

How can I choose the equipment the most adapted to my desires and my disability?
The TANDEMSKI allows anybody including the physically challenged to enjoy skiing.
The « PILOTED » DUALSKI allows, depending of his ability, to ski in a more or less active way by leaning of the upper body. "Speed and balance are managed by the accompanist.
With KARTSKI, the learning phase is very short. There is no need to control the balance. It fits to people who can use their arms but who don’t have enough balance to keep their balance with a Uniski or Dualski, or who want to have fun easily on slopes with an equipment easy to use. However, the use of Kartski is limited to easy slopes.
DUALSKI and UNISKI are intended for the physically impaired at the lower limbs. With training, the physically challenged can experience the pleasure of skiing successfully and independently. Arms ability is needed to ski with those apparatus for equilibrium and to start turns with stabilizers. For quadriplegic persons having handle pre-emption problem but who can use their arms, it’s possible to use Uniski or Dualski. Stabilizers are fixed to the hands thanks to a Velcro strap for example (don’t hesitate to contact us).
The UNISKI is currently the most used sit ski in competitions worldwide. Conceived as a simpler version of the Dualski, the Uniski is more economical.
The DUALSKI is a high performance sit ski that does as well on hard snow as on "powder" snow. Its totally articulated frame gives an incomparable comfort and sliding security. The Dualski can be placed on any type of ski and standard binding making it highly adaptable to any situation. Different configurations of the articulated frame allow adapting the angle of inclination of the skis to the user’s performance and ability.
The VFC is intended for those handicapped at the lower limbs and having already a good level of skiing and who want a more performant apparatus. The VFC is the most used equipment for the French championship and it is more and more represented on international competitions. Freeride lovers have also adopted the VFC Dualski. The « Vertical Flex Concept » eliminates front and back rocking motions, the equilibrium stay perfect so it’s easier to ski in powder snow and the two skis give a better lift on fresh snow.
We also propose stabilizers for standing skiers.

What does VFC mean?
« Vertical Flex Concept »
It's the name of a patented supsension system.
The principle of this innovative concept is that the clearance is identical to the feet and posterior of the skier. There is no front or back rocking motion. That makes the apparatus much more precise so more performant but ask a better technique for the skier. The VFC is mainly intended to good skiers, competitors and fresh powder lovers.

Where can I rent equipment? Where can I ski?
In France as in many countries, more and more ski resorts are equipped with seated skiing apparatus and have competent instructors for seated skiing teaching or accompaniment. On request we can send you by mail or email a document with the main equipped ski resorts and the organisation or person to contact.

What kind of ski is it better to use with a Uniski or a Dualski?
Uniski and Dualski are equipped with aluminium boots that have the shape of a ski shoe so they can be used with standard bindings and so, with all kind of skis. Parabolic skis are strongly recommended. We advise the use of a resistant, up-market ski, size from 165 to 180cm for Uniski, and a pair of mid-range skis, quite supple, size from 155 to 170cm for a Dualski. We propose different skis at attractive prices, contact us.
